On Demand Snapshots & Excluding Directories

Thrilled to introduce two of the more requested features this morning. Our guys have just implemented the ability to exclude any directory (and all child directories under it) by placing the file “.comcure_ignore” in the directory – this file should be empty, with linux you can use the “touch” command otherwise your text editor + FTP client do the job.  This feature came by popular request – we’ve launched it without a GUI for now, but you can expect a more friendly way to exclude directories very soon.

Additionally, we’ve added the ability to Force a instant On-Demand snapshot. So if you are making changes to your code and want a quick snapshot without having to wait until the next scheduled time, simply click “Force backup now” and it’s done!

How else can we make Comcure better? Let us know in the community!  Look for SQL backups, additional login security features and a few dozen small enhancements over the next few days. We’re busy at work!

Thank you all for your help in building Comcure. It’s much appreciated.

Funny how no picture appears in “force `024×648 On Demand Snapshots & Excluding Directories”. In Opera it is a blank square, in Firefox just the link, but clicking on it I get:

    “Server not found
Firefox can’t find the server at cdn-blog.comcure.com.”

Maybe you have a backup of it?
